Bohr, Niels Henrik David, 1885-1962
Bohr General Correspondence 1910-1962

Bohr's administrative correspondence and his correspondence with the general public. This collection includes all correspondence that has not been classified as scientific or private, and thus contains a broad range of material: from recommendations of workers at the Institute to begging letters from unknown people, from honorary memberships of learned societies to travel itineraries for foreign journeys. Most of the collection is arranged alphabetically according to people and institutions; the rest is arranged according to subject - for example, Foundations, Journeys, Conferences, Learned Societies, Correspondence with Press and Publishers. Scientific proposals regarded as unserious are filed separately.

106 boxes. Arranged in two parts, one with people and institutions, alphabetically arranged, the other according to subject.
The people and institutions part of the correspondence, approx. 48 boxes, has been registered in a bibliographical database. Material concerning funding (Foundations), approx. 11 boxes, has been microfilmed. There are typewritten lists of the latter material.
