HISTORICAL NOTE:
Niels Bohr was appointed professor of physics at Copenhagen University
in 1916. His institute, Universitetets Institut for teoretisk Fysik
(the University's Institute for Theoretical Physics), was inaugurated in
1921. The name was changed to Niels Bohr
Institutet (the Niels Bohr Institute) in 1965.
DESCRIPTION OF COLLECTION:
Guest books, diaries, registers, account books, architects' drawings of
plans for erection and expansions of the institute etc. Correspondence
concerning the establishment and financing of the institute.
